Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking information about an armed personal robbery that occurred on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
Around 10:50 p.m. that evening, the victim and a friend were at the car wash station in the Villages at Lake Ned apartment complex located off of Lake Ned Drive in Winter Haven vacuuming out the victim's car when the victim was approached by an unknown black male suspect. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim, the suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as a black male, 18-20 years old, with a medium complexion, gold teeth, dreadlocks worn in a bun on his head, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was armed with a nickel-plated handgun.
