Polk County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in an Armed Home Invasion investigation.

At approximately 1:20 am, on Saturday, June 12, 2010, Polk County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious incident at a residence on Milner Drive in Lakeland.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that four black males, wearing black masks, had forced their way into the residence.  Once inside, the suspects forced the two residents to the floor at gunpoint and demanded valuables.  One of the victims was beaten and sustained numerous bruises and contusions.  He was later transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center to be treated for his injuries and is listed in good condition.

The suspects all wore black masks, a black t-shirt, and khaki pants.  They are further described as:

1)    6-02, 170 pounds, with long shoulder length dreads.  

2)    5-06, 140-150 pounds, short hair.  A small caliber handgun was observed.

3)     5-06 – 5-07, 140-150 pounds, short hair.  A small caliber handgun was observed.

4)    5-06-5-08, 140-150 pounds unknown hair.

The suspects fled the scene in a 2009 or 2010 Black Dodge Durango.
