Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives need the public’s help in a Retail Theft investigation.

During the months of May and June 2010, a black male subject, described as being approximately 6’1” and 165 pounds, has committed a series of retail thefts at Circle K convenience stores in the Lakeland area.  Tobacco products are the most frequent items taken. 

He is further described as having a receding hair line and very short hair, and often has worn a long shirt and baggy shorts. 

He typically buys scratch off lottery tickets or at least inquires about them.  He has been seen in a light blue Chevrolet truck, possibly an Avalanche. 

These thefts have occurred at stores located on Airport Road, Drainfield Road, Memorial Boulevard, Chestnut Road, Kathleen Road, and Galloway Road.
