INFORMATION SOUGHT IN RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY  Sought

Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in a Residential Burglary investigation.

Between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:30 pm, on Thursday, July 8, 2010, a residence located on South lake Starr Boulevard was burglarized.  The front door was kicked open to his home.  It does not appear that anything was taken, however, there were drawers opened as if someone was looking for something.

An older model, maroon two-door vehicle, possibly a Chevrolet Cavalier or Buick Skylark was seen parked in the vacant lot next to the victim’s home at approximately 12:30 pm the day of the burglary.

The vehicle is further described as being extremely faded maroon color with a black top, and a loud muffler.

The vehicle was occupied by two white males in their mid 20’s wearing baggy t-shirts and basketball style shorts.  Both males had sandy blonde/light brown hair.  One subject was approximately 6’2” and the other was about 5’11”.  The shorter subject was slightly heavyset.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact Detective Susan Birge at 863.534.6291 or 863.298.6200.
