Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking information about a youth who has been missing since April 5, 2010.

17-year-old Marco Martinez (he was 16 at the time he went missing), of 2656 McGregor Street in Lakeland, was last seen on Monday, April 5, 2010, after picking up his young niece from the bus stop near his home. When Marco’s family members got home later that day, Marco was gone.

Marco attended Kathleen High School and had a steady job. After April 5th, he did not show up for school or work. Marco has not been seen since.

Marco is described as 5’7” tall, 135 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He has a star tattoo on one hand and three dots on the other hand.  His photo can be seen here.

Detectives consider Marco’s disappearance suspicious. The reward for information leading to the whereabouts of Marco Martinez has been increased to $10,000.
