INFORMATION SOUGHT IN HOME INVASION  Sought 
 

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking information about a home invasion robbery that occurred in Lakeland on Friday, July 30, 2010.

Around 6:30 a.m. that morning, the victim heard a noise outside his bedroom door in his apartment on Longfellow Blvd in Lakeland. As he approached his bedroom door to investigate, an unknown black male suspect suddenly entered the victim’s bedroom and demanded money. When the victim denied that he had any money, the suspect beat the victim about the head with a tire iron. The victim then gave the suspect an unknown amount of cash, and the suspect fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with serious head injuries. He is expected to recover.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’1” to 6’3” tall, heavyset, wearing a white tank top and dark colored pants.
