Polk County Sheriff’s Robbery detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.

At 4:52 p.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2010, an unknown black male suspect walked into the BB&T bank located at 6150 South Florida Avenue in Lakeland, went up to a teller, and handed her a note that said he was armed and he wanted cash. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller, the suspect fled the scene in a maroon Honda CRV, with a tire rack on the back that says “CRV,” in the direction of CR 540A.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late 30s, approximately 6’ tall, heavy build, approximately 210-230 lbs., wearing a white multi-colored striped polo style shirt, blue jeans, white tennis shoes, with a bald head and an unshaven face.
