INFORMATION SOUGHT IN VEHICLE BURGLARY-LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT STOLEN  Sought 

Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in a Vehicle Burglary investigation.

Sometime between 9:00 pm on Thursday, October 6, 2011, and 9:00 am, Friday, October 7, 2011, a Vehicle Burglary was committed in the area of Walt Williams Road and Old Polk City Road in north Lakeland.  The vehicle burglarized was an unmarked Lakeland Police Department detective’s vehicle.

Suspect(s) removed an H&K assault rifle (model G36c, .223 caliber), a Motorola Police radio (model H46UCH9PW7BN) with battery charger and shoulder microphone, and an American Body Armor ballistic vest (model HPXtreme IIIA).

Two other vehicles in the same area were also burglarized.
