Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in an Armed Robbery investigation.

At approximately 8:40 pm, on Saturday, January 14, 2012, two male subjects were sitting in the bleachers at the Crystal Lake Middle School track when they were approached by four to five unknown suspects.

The suspects, possibly light completed black males, or Hispanic males, were wearing jean pants and grey hooded jackets with blue bandanas around their necks.

Shortly after approaching the victims, the suspects began beating the two victims.  Another suspect, a black male, came from behind the bleachers and brandished a handgun and demanded the victims’ property.

After taking property from the victims, the suspects fled the area.  The victims suffered abrasions and bruises and were listed in stable condition.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact Kenjamin Libby at 863-298-6200.
