Polk County Sheriff’s Office Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in an Attempted Armed Robbery.

At approximately 7:35 pm, on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, a male victim walked from his residence to a friend’s residence located on the 1100 block of Meadow Lawn Street, Fort Meade, when he was approached by an unknown black male.  The black male, who had a shirt around the lower half of his face, struck the victim on the head with an unknown handgun.  The victim then observed two additional suspects run toward him also striking him in the face.  The victim told detectives all the suspects were armed.

The victim’s friend heard the commotion and saw a black male point a gun at him and ordered him to the ground demanding money.   The three suspects fled the area jumping over a fence and through a nearby field.

The suspects were described as two black males and one white or Hispanic male.  One of the black male suspects is between 5’6”-6” tall.  The other black male and the third white or Hispanic male both had their faces covered.
