PCSO Detectives are seeking information about a suspect who scammed two businesses out of money in the Lakeland area.

On December 17, 2016, the suspect seen here approached employees at two separate business in the Highland City Town Center Plaza, located near the intersection of U. S. 98 South and Clubhouse Rd in Lakeland, and convinced them to give him $45.00-$55.00 for what he described as a vehicle he was dropping off at the nearby Kauffman Tires. The suspect told the victims that he was delivering the vehicle for a stranded elderly lady and that they would be reimbursed by Kaufman Tires once the business opened.  When the victims realized they had been scammed, they contacted law enforcement. The suspect was observing leaving as a passenger in the vehicle seen here, believed to be a Mercury Grand Marquis.
