INFORMATION SOUGHT IN THEFTS FROM BOATS  Sought
Between December 2012 and January 2013, there have been numerous thefts from boats docked at our local lakes. Unknown suspects have entered numerous boats and removed fishing rods/reels, tackle, marine batteries, and gas cans.

The suspects appear to approach these boats from the water, during the evening hours.  Thefts have been reported in waterfront communities around Crooked Lake, Lake Rosalie and the Kissimmee River.  Boat owners are urged to secure all equipment and not leave anything of value in their boats.  If suspicious activity is observed, please contact the Polk County Sgeriff’s Office.

If anyone has any pertinent information concerning these thefts, please contact Detective Mills at the Southeast District General Crimes Unit at 863-412-2212.
