INFORMATION SOUGHT IN RETAIL THEFT  Sought

Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in a Retail Theft investigation.

At approximately 7:35 p.m., on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, two Hispanic males, approximately 20 years of age, entered the Circle K convenience store located at 2425 W. Memorial Boulevard, in Lakeland.

The two suspects parked their unknown model silver mini-van on the south side of the parking lot over the fuel tanks.  While the vehicle was parked over the tanks the two suspects entered the store and purchased items.  The two suspects walked out of the store and stood on the sidewalk for approximately 20 minutes before re-entering the vehicle.

It was determined that fuel was stolen from the underground fuel tanks while the two suspects were in the store.

The same type of incident also occurred on February 24, 2013, at the same location with the same suspects.

Surveillance captured the suspect’s images, as well as the suspect vehicle on both occasions.

Anyone with information about this investigation is urged to contact Detective Douglas at 863-577-1600 or 863.298.6200.
