Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking the public's help in an armed robbery that occurred in Lakeland on June 10, 2012.

Around 5:40 p.m. that evening, the victim was leaving her home in the area of Dante Street to go to church when she was approached by an unknown male who pointed a gun at her and said, "Give me the money."

The suspect then struck the victim in her face with the gun, and took her money and personal belongings. He fled the scene on foot.

The victim described the suspect as an average height male of an unknown race, wearing dark clothing and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. If anyone has information about this incident they are urged to contact Detective Kenjamin Libby at 863.298.6200 ext. 1237.
