INFORMATION SOUGHT IN AN ATTEMPTED ROBBERY  Sought 
Polk County Sheriff’s Office Robbery detectives are asking for the public’s help in an Attempted Armed Robbery investigation. 

At approximately 6:10 pm, on Friday, June 20, 2014, a black male subject armed with a handgun, demanded the victim’s money while the victim was walking in the area of N. Chestnut Road and Crutchfield Road.  

The victim attempted to pull the gun away from the suspect but was shot in his left leg. The suspect fled the area traveling north on N. Chestnut Road.  

The victim was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released. 

The suspect was described as a black male with a medium complexion, approximately 6’1” tall and weighing approximately 170 lbs. The suspect was wearing a black shirt and was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
