INFORMATION SOUGHT IN RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY TREND  Sought

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect(s) responsible for a series of residential burglaries that occurred in the north Lakeland area.

The trend began on June 18, 2009, in the Odom Road/Village Crest Court/Norton Road area, during the late night hours, and the last known incident occurred on June 21, 2009, on Rosalynn Circle. Two of the homes were occupied during the burglaries and the residents reported seeing a bald, possibly black male suspect fleeing the scene. In all four incidents the suspect forced entry into the homes and stole items such as cash, jewelry, and electronics.

A communicator message was sent to all residences in the area advising citizens to be aware, to lock their homes and secure their belongings, and to immediately report any suspicious activity or vehicles to the Sheriff's Office.

If anyone has information about these incidents they are urged to contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 863.577.1600 or 1.800.226.0344.
