SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN VEHICLE BURGLARIES  Sought

Polk County Sheriff's deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspects responsible for vehicle burglaries in the Dundee area. The suspects steal women's purses from cars, and then cash the stolen checks.

During May 2012, several women's vehicles that were parked at the Dundee Community Center were broken into while the women were in a Zumba class. The windows were broken out, and their purses were stolen from within. Two black male suspects driving a black Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300 were seen leaving the area just after the crime occurred.

Immediately after the thefts, and during early June 2012, several of the victims' stolen checks were cashed at banks in Lake Hamilton, Kissimmee, Orlando and Osceola counties. Detectives are actively working this trend with other law enforcement agencies.

If anyone has information about crimes such as these or can recognize this suspect seen in bank video surveillance, they are urged to contact Detective Michael Britt at 863-255-6184.
