The Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking the public's help in a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred during the early morning hours on Friday, July 7, 2017.

At 12:35 a.m., Polk County dispatch received a call stating there was a man lying in the road who was unresponsive. Deputies responded and located the man who was declared deceased by Polk County Fire Rescue from an obvious hit-and-run crash.

The crash occurred sometime before 12:30 a.m., on July 7, 2017. The suspect vehicle is a gold 2014-2015, Chevy Malibu XLT. This vehicle will have front-end damage to include a missing fog light assembly and a missing left side view mirror.
