PCSO Agricultural Crimes deputies are seeking information about trespassing and criminal mischief in orange groves in the Waverly/Lake Wales area.

On Thursday, July 18, 2013, unknown suspect(s) entered an orange grove without permission in what appeared to be a 4-wheel drive truck with large mud tires and purposely ran over three (3) juvenile reset orange trees in the area of Dekle Road and North Scenic Hwy in the Lake Wales/Waverly area. The suspect(s) then drove through this grove to an adjacent grove and ran over 10 more orange trees.

The suspect(s) also damaged county traffic control signs in the area.   A local resident reported seeing a male in a white 2003-2004 Chevrolet truck with big grip mud tires turning the street signs at Helicopter and Tindel Camp Road on July 17th around 4:30 p.m. playing extremely loud music.   See photo for an example of what the suspect vehicle looked like - please note this is NOT THE ACTUAL VEHICLE.

If anyone has information about these incidents they are urged to contact the PCSO Ag Unit at 863-534-7205.
