Between 2:30 am and 4:30 am, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, an unknown suspect forcibly entered three area businesses. The suspect is described as having large build, and was wearing all black, with a mask covering the facial area. Detectives believe the suspect was in possession of an ax and crowbar which were used to force entry into all three locations within the two hour time frame.
The first burglary occurred at approximately 2:30 am at the Dundee Post office, 103 Atlantic Avenue, Dundee.
The second burglary occurred at approximately 3:00 am, at the Dundee Citizen’s Band and Trust, 1013 Dundee Road.
The third burglary occurred at approximately 4:15 am, at the CITGO convenience store, 150 5th Street South, Eagle Lake.
In the first incident the suspect can be seen using the ax to break the glass door of the Post Office. The front door of the bank was pried open. The suspect can be seen using the ax again to break the side window to gain entry at the convenience store.
A white Dodge Magnum was seen in the area at the time of all three burglaries.
Detectives have confirmed the same suspect committed all three burglaries.
