Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in a retail theft investigation.

At approximately 2:09 a.m., on Saturday, July 14, 2012, a retail theft occurred at the Circle K located at 7250 U.S. Highway 98 N, Lakeland.

The suspect in the photo is described as a white male, approximately 20 years of age, wearing a red shirt and jeans.  The suspect entered the store and walked directly to the beer display which is adjacent to the register.  The suspect took an 18 pack of Budweiser and immediately left the store without paying for the merchandise.   

The suspect fled the area in an unknown type car which was parked on the north side of the building.
