KNOWN SUSPECT SOUGHT IN FRAUD INVESTIGATION  Captured

Update: Suspect has been captured!

PCSO Fraud detectives are seeking the public's help in locating 44-year-old Ronald Cooney, Jr., who has Polk County warrants for his arrest, for fraud and grand theft.

During the past few months, as park manager at the Arizona Mobile Home Park on Arizona Avenue in Lakeland, Cooney collected money for rent, and instead of depositing it in the business account, he kept the money. When the park owner discovered the thefts, she fired Cooney and contacted PCSO.

In all, Cooney stole $2,900 from several different residents. He's 5'6" tall, 190 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.

If anyone has information on Cooney's whereabouts, they are urged to call Detective Bell at 863-292-3300.
