Polk County Sheriff's Robbery detectives are seeking information about a shooting and an armed robbery that occurred at the Lakeland Farmers Market.

Around 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012, two unknown black male suspects approached the victim’s coin and gun booth at the Lakeland Farmers Market located at 2701 Swindell Road in Lakeland, and told the victim they wanted to buy a gun.  The victim told the suspects no.  The suspects told victim they would be back. 

A few minutes later, six unknown black males approached the victim’s booth.  One of the suspects, who was armed with a hammer, smashed the glass case that the handguns are kept in.  Another suspect, who was armed with a handgun, shot the victim in the stomach.  The suspects then fled to a field located on the NW corner of the Farmers Market.  The suspects are described as teenagers with dreadlocks, all wearing dark clothing. They fled in a vehicle described as a 2010-2013 model black Suzuki hatchback with tinted windows and stock rims.
