INFORMATION SOUGHT IN HOMICIDE   Sought
The PCSO Homicide Unit is seeking the public’s help in a homicide investigation. Preliminary information so far is as follows:

The PCSO Emergency Communications Center (ECC) received a call around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 25, 2017, in reference to a deceased adult male in his home. The death has been classified as a homicide.

The victim has been positively identified as 59-year-old Russell L. Jackson (DOB 4/20/58) of 2422 East Peachtree Street, lot 11, in unincorporated Lakeland. Attached is his most recent Polk County Jail mugshot, from his most recent arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, in October 2017.

The attached photos from nearby video surveillance show a possible suspect vehicle in the area at the time. The vehicle appears to be a dark green four-door station wagon, occupied by a white female driver, and a white or Hispanic male passenger, both in their 20s or 30s. If anyone has information about this homicide or recognizes this vehicle they are urged to contact PCSO at 863-298-6200.
