DRIVER SOUGHT IN HIT-AND-RUN  Sought 

Polk County Sheriff's Traffic deputies are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver who fled the scene of a hit-and-run crash with serious injury.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, a Saddle Creek Corp semi truck was heading north on Fish Hatchery Rd, crossing the intersection of Saddle Creek Rd, when it was struck by a white 2013 Chevy Malibu, with FL tag CDU A08. The collision caused the semi to jack-knife.

The driver of the Malibu, described as a slender black male with short hair, wearing a white T-shirt, fled the scene on foot. The passenger in the Malibu, 24-year-old China Harris of Lakeland, was critically injured.
