Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking information about an Armed Burglary that occurred in Frostproof, during which several firearms were stolen.
Sometime between the hours of 9:00 p.m. on July 19th, and 3:00 p.m. on July 21st, uknown suspect(s) broke into the home located at 10 South Lake Moody Road in Frostproof and stole several firearms, as well as jewelry, coins, and a safe containing sensitive personal information.
Since the crime occurred, detectives have recovered three of the firearms. They were reportedly sold out of a small, 2-door black pick-up truck by an unknown black male in his 20s. He was described as thin, approximately 5'8" tall, with twists in his hair.
The following is a description of the items taken during the burglary:
GUNS: Three .38 caliber revolvers; Four .22 caliber handguns: an H&R, 2 Ruggers, and a Jennings; Two 357 revolvers: a Rugger, and a Colt; One .45 caliber Glock; One 32 Smith and Wesson; Three old BB guns; Two Musket Hand Gun Replicas; One 410 Shotgun; One 22 long gun.
JEWELRY AND COINS: 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars; 10 carat ring with purple stone; Gold ring containing black stone with ® on it; Gold Diamond Ring with 6 diamonds in a circle.
