Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help in a Carjacking investigation.

Between the hours of 1:30 am and 1:45 am, on Saturday, December 28, 2013, in the Lake Wales Estates subdivision area, the victims stopped at the end of Greyhound Avenue at Lizzie Lake.  While there, they were contacted by 28-year-old Jacob Michel Walker, DOB 08/02/1985, last known address of 4660 Transport Road, Bartow, who asked for a cigarette and a ride; reluctantly, the victims agreed.

As they approached the intersection of Cottage Hill and ABC Cutoff Rd, Walker asked the victims to stop, he then ordered them to empty their pockets on the dashboard and get out of the vehicle. The victims did not immediately comply and Walker brandished what was described as a drywall knife and again ordered them out of the vehicle.  The victims complied and Walker fled north toward Alturas Babson Park Cutoff Road, then proceeded east in the direction of Highway 27.

The victim’s vehicle is a black, 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, FL TAG (997-8GP). There is a “Hardee Wildcats” parking pass located in the lower left windshield.  There is an active warrant for Walker’s arrest.

Anyone with information regarding Walker’s whereabouts is urged to contact Detective Bobby Abbatoy at 863-287-9500 or the Southeast on-call detective 863-287-7157.
