SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN RETAIL THEFT TREND  Sought

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking information about three suspects stealing from two different stores in Winter Haven.

On Wednesday, August 6, 2008, around 5:30 p.m., two of the suspects were seen at the CVS Pharmacy located at the intersection of Winter Lake and Spirit Lake Road in Winter Haven just before the clerk noticed several hundred dollars' worth of cologne had been stolen. The clerk described the two suspects as: one black male with a bald or shaved head, muscular build, wearing a tank top and baggy shorts, and one black male with a beard and short hair, heavy build, wearing a white T-shirt.

On the same day around 8:00 p.m., three men were seen in video surveillance at the Circle K store located at 4890 Spirit Lake Road in Winter Haven. While one of the suspects distracts the clerk, the other two suspects can be seen taking small items, such as over the counter medicines.

If anyone has information about either of these cases or can identify these individuals they are urged to contact Detective Dave Butler at 863.534.6291.
