Information Sought in Stolen Checks  Sought 

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking information about the theft of a checkbook that occurred in Lakeland. Between the hours of 5:00 p.m. on February 22nd and 3:00 p.m. on February 25th, 2008, unknown suspects entered the gated business, Buriss Logistics, located at 1110 County Line Road in Lakeland and removed a checkbook from a vehicle parked there. One of the stolen checks was cashed at Washington Mutual Bank on Lakeland Highlands Road on February 25th. The suspect can be seen in video surveillance photos passing the forged check.
