At approximately 4:07 pm, on Sunday, May 11, 2008, the body of 25-year-old Octavio Hernandez, was found in the parking lot of Ben Hill Griffin Inc., 702 S. Scenic Highway, Frostproof. Autopsy results indicate Octavio was murdered.

Octavio was last seen alive by a co-worker on May 10, 2008, at approximately 9:00 p.m. After telling the co-worker he was going to the Rio Grande Bar, 540 S. Scenic Highway, Octavio left the residence walking eastbound on West 5th Street, Frostproof. Octavio was employed by Hyatt Farms and resided at 252 Dawes Road, Frostproof.
