On 05/18/2006, the HIDTA Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence located at 1313 4th Street NE in Winter Haven. As a result of the search, approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine (ice), 1.2 pounds of cocaine (1/2 kilo), and $20,000.00 were recovered. Three firearms and a video surveillance system were recovered from inside of the residence. One subject was arrested for Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Trafficking in Cocaine as a result of this investigation. Street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $100,000.00. Suspect LOPEZ is an illegal Mexican immigrant. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was notified, and further immigration charges are pending.
