Search Continues For Missing Pilot

A unified command center has been set up at the Bartow Airbase in the search for missing pilot Hubert Helligar. Helliagr, 66, of Kissimmee, took off around 1 p.m. from the Winter Haven Airport Friday, October 27, 2000 in a single engine Cessna 150. Helligar has not been seen or heard from since he took off Friday. The plane Helligar was flying is white with red and blue stripes. 

The Polk County Sheriff's Office, Florida Wing Civil Air Patrol, and several mutual aide agencies conducted an extensive search through the weekend and will continue with a ground and air search in high probability areas on Friday, November 3, 2000.
