Following a joint investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office Computer Crimes Unit, the Central Florida Child Exploitation Task Force and the FDLE, detectives arrested a Haines City man last night (Tuesday, Mar. 7, 2000) on child pornography charges.
Adam Hollis, DOB 12/24/78, of 7612 Live Oak in Haines City, was arrested at approximately 7:45 p.m. last night and charged with 40 counts Promotion of Child Pornography.
The undercover joint investigation revealed that Hollis transmitted at least 40 images of child pornography via the Internet. Detectives investigated Hollis after receiving information that he was sending child pornography to other Internet users. During a search of Hollis' residence and personal computer equipment, detectives observed at least 40 images of child pornography that had been transmitted via the Internet.
Hollis was taken into custody and booked into the Polk County Jail on $200,000 bond. Computer equipment found at his residence was taken into evidence. The investigation is continuing.
