The Weekend Work Release Program is individuals who have been sentenced to spend a certain number of weekends on a work program as opposed to completing their sentence in jail. The Weekend Work Release Program allows an individual to pay their debt to society without going to jail and allows an individual to maintain gainful employment.

A weekend average of one hundred thirty (130) individuals perform tasks such as picking up trash along county highways, mowing, laying sod, tearing down abandoned buildings, and cleaning out canals of local lake systems.

Residents who wish to report roadside trash along county rights of way can call the Liter Hotline toll free at 1-877-891-6430. This toll free number is for reporting liter on county right of ways only, and residents SHOULD NOT call to report trash on personal property.
