Sheriff's Office and Crime Stoppers Increases Reward to $5,000 for Information Leading to the Arrest of Suspect Involved in Attempted Abductions of Women Near Winter Haven

Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office announced this morning that they have increased the reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in the attempted abductions of women near Winter Haven that occurred on July 27, 2001. The reward has been increased from $2,000 to $5,000. 

Polk County Sheriff's Office Detectives are looking for a white male, 5'9" to 6'0", 165-175 lbs. with short brown (dark) hair. The suspect may be driving a late 80's/early 90's model gold colored vehicle. The suspect is wanted for questioning in reference to the attempted abductions of three women on July 27, 2001 in the Winter Haven and Auburndale area. 

A subject matching the above description is also wanted for questioning regarding shots fired at a Winter Haven Police Officer on August 2, 2001 in the area of US Highway 17 South and SR 540, Winter Haven, Florida.
