The Polk County Sheriff's Office has named Aaron Flint as the new Public Information Officer.
Flint, 24, has been a resident of Polk County since 1988. He is a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Flint's public contact and media experience includes a lengthy internship with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission Law Enforcement Division and three years of service as a Certified Florida Evaluator with the Polk County Property Appraiser's Office.
As Public Information Officer, Flint will be working in conjunction with Michal Shanley, and will serve as a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office. He will be responsible for disseminating information of general and newsworthy interest to the news media, public officials, and the general public.
