Armed Robbery Suspects Sought/Crime Stoppers
Detectives with the Polk
County Sheriff's Office are releasing the following information regarding
an armed robbery of a Lakeland Domino's Pizza Restaurant with a unique
descriptive characteristic of a suspect.
An armed robbery of the Dominos Pizza Restaurant located at 5508 Highway
98 N. (manager Joel Davis, 858-2251) occurred on Friday night, August 10,
2001. At approximately 11:50 p.m. three employees of Domino's Pizza were
standing outside of the business with the door propped open when two black
males who had their faces covered with t-shirts approached them, coming
from behind the business. The suspects were armed with a shotgun with
pistol-style grips and a handgun. They forced the employees inside the
business and demanded cash. The two men then fled the business in an
undetermined direction. No vehicle was observed. No injuries occurred. The
descriptions of the two men are as follows:
Suspect 1: Black male, approximately 6'2", 220 lbs, wearing blue jeans, a
green shirt, and a white t-shirt wrapped around and covering his face. He
was holding a shotgun, double
barrel over & under style, with pistol grips. The suspect appeared to have
one brown eye, and one green eye.
Suspect 2: Black male, approximately 6'6", 180 lbs, "tall and lanky,"
wearing beige pants, black t-shirt, and a black t-shirt wrapped around and
covering his face. He had a 38-caliber revolver handgun, dark in color.
