Polk County Sheriff's Office Community Oriented Policing (COPS) Deputies will be hosting a Bike Rodeo for children in the Eloise area on Saturday, February 24, 2001. The bike rodeo will be begin at 10 a.m. at the Snively Brooks Park located behind Snively Elementary. 

Kids up to 17 years of age will have the opportunity to ride through different bicycle safety courses. Sheriff's Deputies will also be on hand to provide bicycle safety tips to all participants. 

A free hot dog lunch will be available while supplies last, and there will be drawings throughout the day for prizes such as new bikes, safety helmets, and various other donated items. 

Admission to the Bike Rodeo is free, however, donations of can food and dry food items will be accepted at the park entrance. All donations collected will be distributed to needy families in the Eloise area.
