An open house to celebrate the grand opening of the Polk County Sheriff's Office COPS (Community Oriented Policing) station located in the new Eloise Neighborhood Resource Center will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001. Community members are encouraged to attend the Resource Center open house, which will include lunch/refreshments.

Sheriff Lawrence W. Crow, Jr., and his staff will gather with members of the Eloise  community, business leaders, and county representatives to celebrate the open house for the new Eloise Neighborhood Resource Center, located at 710 Snively Avenue in Eloise. The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, building dedication, and speeches from local officials and community members.

The new county facility - funded by a Polk County Community Development Block Grant (through the Polk County Housing and Neighborhood Development Office) - will house the Sheriff's Office Eloise COPS station, Meals on Wheels, Polk County Transportation, Elderly Services, an Infant Child Care Center, and more.
