Sheriff's Office Investigating Death Of Haines City Man

Sheriff's Office Detectives are investigating the overnight death of a Haines City man and the shooting and stabbing of two other Haines City men, all related. At approximately 12:30 this morning, (Tues. March 20), Fidencio Delon-Sanchez, DOB 11/10/79, no known address, and Lorenzo Moralas, DOB 1/17/81, of 3214 Johnson Ave. in Haines City, went to Heart of Florida Hospital with various injuries. Fidencio was suffering from stab wounds and Moralas had gun shot injuries.  Moralas was later air lifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center. 

Detectives responded to 3214 Johnson Ave., in Haines City, where the two injuries occurred, and discovered the body of Fransico Delon-Sanchez, DOB 10/10/77 of 2085 Melbourne Ave. in Haines City, deceased. 

Detectives have learned that an altercation erupted at a party at the Johnson Ave. residence last night. The altercation began over a missing cell phone. During the altercation, Fedencio Delon-Sanchez, Moralas, and Fransico Delon-Sanchez were injured. The investigation has revealed that 9 individuals fled the scene on foot and later received a ride from an acquaintance to Georgia.  Of the 9 individuals, 2 were being treated at a hospital in Moultrie, Georgia for stab wounds, 1 was being treated for a gun shot wound, 1 was being treated for injuries received from being run over by a car, and the other 5 individuals were being treated for minor injuries. 

Detectives have recovered a 22 caliber semi-automatic rifle and 1 kitchen knife believed to have been used in the altercation. The investigation is still continuing, no charges have been filed.
