Information Sought in Missing Frostproof Man

Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking information about a Frostproof man who has been missing since Wednesday, October 10, 2001.  Seventy-seven year-old Guy Griffin, of 6500 County Rd. 630 in Frostproof, was last seen at 7:51 p.m. on October 10, 2001, leaving the Futral Food Way store in Frostproof.  

Griffin was driving a brown 1989  Dodge Caravan with Florida (Polk) license plate DZ706Y.  He was accompanied by his 50 pound Beagle mix breed dog.  Mr. Griffin is described as a white male, approximately 6' tall, 185 lbs., blue eyes,  short white hair, bald on the top of his head, and walks with a cane.  He was last seen wearing blue or tan jeans and a striped shirt.

Griffin has age-related medical conditions, and at times suffers from bouts of  depression and confusion.  Anyone who has information about Griffin's possible whereabouts or any information about his disappearance should contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-226-0344.
