The Polk County Law Enforcement and Public Safety Job Fair will be held this Saturday, May 12, 2001, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Tigertown Hanger #2, located on North Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland.
The job fair will showcase the wide variety of law enforcement and public safety careers available in Polk County. Recruiters from numerous agencies will be on hand to share employment facts and information about individual job opportunities, and to guide interested candidates in the application process.
Admission to the job fair is free, and parking will be available. The following agencies are scheduled to participate in the event: Polk County Sheriff's Office, Polk County EMS, Polk County Fire Department, Polk 911 Center, Polk County Board of County Commissioners, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Fresh Water Game and Fish Commission, numerous city police departments, Polk County Explorers, and the Polk Community College Police Academy.
