Man Arrested for Stalking Three Teenage Girls

Following an investigation by the Polk County Sheriff's Office SAFE (Sexual Abuse and Family Exploitation) Unit, a 37-year-old Haines City man was arrested this afternoon (Monday, Nov. 19, 2001) and charged with stalking three teenage girls.

Patrick Lally, DOB 10/29/64, of 10730 Jim Edwards Road in Haines City, was arrested today at his place of employment in Haines City, and charged with three counts of Stalking (M1), and was booked into the Polk County Jail on $15,000 bond.

Detectives received information that a man matching Lally's description had been driving  past three teenage girls (ages 14, 14 and 17) in the Lakeland area.  Two victims (who are related)  told detectives that the suspect drove a white Chevrolet S-10 truck by their residence approximately 25 times, repeatedly staring at them while they were outside. A third victim told detectives that the suspect followed her home from the bus stop and repeatedly followed her in her neighborhood while driving a white truck. The suspect reportedly has been seen driving numerous times in the area of  US92 and Combee in Lakeland.  He is described as heavyset with glasses.

A tag number  (E97-MJH) was traced back to Lally and the victims positively identified him as the stalker who had been following them.

Anyone who may have any additional information about this case or any other possible stalking cases involving the suspect is asked to call the Polk County Sheriff's Office at 533-0444.
