PCSO Investigating a Report of a Missing Two-Year Old Male

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of a missing two-year old male, Alfredo Montez.  On July 8, 2002, deputies learned that Alfredo has been missing since or on before July 4, 2002.

Based on the investigation thus far the details are as follows:

  • Jeanna Lynn Swallows, mother of Alfredo and Rheyna Montez (4 years old), left the children with Amandy Lawrence, W/F, DOB 01/15/80 and Richard Chouquer, W/M, DOB 08/12/78.  Lawrence and Chouquer resided at 406 Senate Street, Apt B, in Auburndale, Florida at the time.
  • On June 29, 2002, Carmen Valdez, 30 years old, of the same address, last saw Alfredo at a garage sale at the Senate Street address. (Valdez is reportedly Amandy's cousin).
  • Valdez told detectives that around 4:00 a.m. on July 4, 2002,  Lawrence and Chouquer brought Rheyna to her and then left the area.  Valdez asked the couple about Alfredo and was told that he was with a couple from Orlando in the Eloise area. (Rheyna will be turned over to DCF).
  • Detectives checked the location in Eloise on July 8, 2002, and found no one there.
  • Detectives are currently following up on reports that suggest Alfredo may be the victim of foul play.  (This has not been confirmed at this time).

At this time, detectives are attempting to locate the mother, Jeanne Swallows, as well as Amandy Lawrence and Richard Chouquer.  It is believed Swallows is still in the area and avoiding detectives due to an outstanding warrant for her.  We do not believe that Swallows is involved with Alfredo's disappearance but detectives do need to talk with her.

Alfredo Montez is described as a two-year old white male, DOB 10/27/99, 2'06/50, short brown hair and brown eyes, skin tag on right ear.

Jeanna Lynn Swallows, mother, is described as a W/F, DOB 08/04/80, 5'07/160, brown hair and brown eyes.  Her last known address is 116 E. 6th Street, in Eloise and she may be driving a white older model Camaro.

Amandy Dawn Lawrence is described as a W/F, DOB 01/15/80, 5'06/120, brown hair and brown eyes.  Her last known address is 406 Senate Street, Apt. B., Auburndale, Florida.  She may be in a 90's model gray Taurus with either Utah or Florida plates.

Richard M. Chouquer is described as a W/M, DOB 08/12/78, 6'01/180, brown hair and brown eyes.  His last known address is 406 Senate Street, Apt. B., Auburndale, Florida.  He may be in a 90's model gray Taurus with either Utah or Florida plates.

Detectives from the Special Victims Unit and the Homicide Unit are
following up all aspects of this investigation.  According to information
received, it is believed that Lawrence and Chouquer have fled Polk
County.  Additionally, we have asked the FBI to assist on following
up certain aspects that may lead outside the realm of the State of
Florida.

As in any such investigation we will focus on all possibilities and not
rule anything, or anyone out.  We are asking for the public's help in
locating the mother, Jeanna Swallows, as well as Amandy Lawrence
and Richard Chouquer.  Anyone with information regarding the
whereabouts of Alfredo is asked to call the Polk County Sheriff's
Office at 1-800-226-0344.
