Florida Power Offers $5,000.00 Reward For Information on Damage to Transformer   

Polk County Sheriff's Office Property Crimes detectives are still seeking information concerning a Criminal Mischief that occurred during an unknown time on July 2, 2002, at a Florida Power Compound located at 1050 Lake Hatchineha Road, just west of Watkins Road in Haines City, Florida.

Unknown suspect(s) fired an unknown type gun at a Florida Power transformer causing it to lose cooling oil and the unit sustained substantial damage.  Due to the damage 25,000 Florida Power customers suffered a power outage.

Florida Power is offering a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for this damage, and the reporting person can remain anonymous.
