Sheriff's Office Hosts Benefit Rummage Sale

The Polk County Sheriff's Office announces that a rummage sale of donated items such as furniture, clothing, yard equipment, and other used articles, will be held Saturday, July 27, 2002, at the Eloise Resource Center, 710 Snively Avenue in Eloise.  The sale will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.

The communities of Eloise, Florence Villa, Garden Grove, Inwood, K-Ville, and Wahneta, in conjunction with Sheriff's COP (Community Oriented Policing) deputies from the Central District, organized the rummage sale, whose entire proceeds will go to the Sergeant Mary Campbell Memorial Fund.  Sgt. Mary Campbell, who passed away last year, was an avid COP deputy and was well-known and respected by communities throughout Polk County.  A fund in her name has been established at Polk Community College, and will provide a two-year scholarship to one young adult per year.

For further information, please contact Johnny Brooks, President of the Eloise Neighborhood Association, at (863) 299-4200.
