Arrest Made In Sexual Battery Case for False Report of a Crime

On Wednesday, July 24, 2002, the Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to a sexual battery and abduction call in the Lakeland area.  A female victim claimed to have been abducted by two black males in a green car while she was standing at a bus stop on the corner of Parker and Wabash.  She further claimed that the 2 "suspects" sexually and physically battered her.

Upon further investigation by detectives in the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, it was determined that the female victim fabricated the story, and in fact willingly entered the vehicle, discussed an exchange of money for sex, and had consensual oral sex with the men.

Brandy Lynn Williams, DOB 12/2/76, of 16 Oleander Circle in Lakeland, was subsequently charged with False Reports of Commission of Crimes. Williams was booked into the Polk County Jail on Thursday, July 25, 2002, where she is being held on $500 bond.
