On-Line Civil Process Inquiry Available On PCSO Website

In an ongoing effort to improve customer service and make public information more readily available, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office has new link on its website  The new addition to the website is a wealth of information about the agency’s Judicial Process Section, its regional office locations, and hours of operation.  Additionally, visitors to the website will be able to query to see if civil process documents, such as summonses, notices, and other court orders, have been served yet.

The Sheriff is required by Florida Statute to serve any legal process originating from the Supreme Courts, Circuit Courts, County Courts, local governmental code enforcement boards and other governmental agencies.  He is required to serve any other process that may be  directed to him and comes into his hands for execution in his county.  This task is accomplished
by the Judicial Process Section.

Visitors can easily reach the civil process search option from the front page of by scrolling down the left-hand side and selecting Civil Process Search under the "Reference" section.  All that is needed for search criteria is a first and last name to get the current status on a Service of Process.
