Crime Stoppers Tip Leads To Arrest of Suspect Wanted On Drug Charges 

A Crime Stoppers tip has led to the arrest of a suspect wanted on drug trafficking charges.

A tip called in yesterday (Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002) to the anonymous Crime Stoppers line (1-800-226-TIPS) provided information about the possible whereabouts of Kari Armstrong, DOB 8/21/77, wanted on a warrant charging multiple counts of Trafficking in Methamphetamine (VOP).

Upon receiving the Crime Stoppers tip, Sheriff's Office deputies responded yesterday to the reported residence located at 3219 Highway 17/92 in Davenport and arrested Armstrong.  Armstrong resisted arrest, and was further charged with Resisting without Violence and Giving a False Name. She was booked in to the Polk County Jail.
