Davenport Shooting

Polk County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting at 1425 Adair Road in Davenport early this morning. 

At approximately 12 a.m. this morning, Polk Sheriff's deputies investigated the shooting death of a 16 year-old Hispanic male.  The victim, Lorenzo Mundragon,H/M, DOB 8/7/85, of 1425 Adair Road in Davenport, who came to Davenport three weeks ago from Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.  Mundragon suffered multiple gun shot wounds to the head from a handgun. 

According to witnesses, Mundragon and Napolean Contreras, DOB 8/31/76, of 1537 Adair Road in Davenport, had an argument about money that Mundragon owed Contreras.  After a brief  argument, Contreras shot Mundragon multiple times in the head with a handgun.  The suspect immediately fled the scene of the shooting.

Polk Sheriff's detectives had a warrant issued for Contreras a few hours after the incident.  He is wanted for First Degree Murder.  Contreras is described as a H/M, has black hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a black shirt, jeans, and a black ball cap.
